Jeff Bridges
Po raz pierwszy przed kamerami Jeff Bridges wystąpił w wieku czterech miesięcy w filmie "The Company She Keeps". Osiem lat później zagrał u boku swojego ojca Lloyda w serialu telewizyjnym "Sea Hunt". Jego kariera aktorska rozpoczęła się bardzo błyskotliwie. W 1972 roku otrzymał nominację do Oscara za rolę w filmie Petera Bogdanovicha "Ostatni seans filmowy". Trzy lata później otrzymał kolejną nominację dla najlepszego aktora drugoplanowego za udział w obrazie Michaela Cimino "Piorun i Lekka Stopa". Wydawałoby się, iż w takiej sytuacji Bridges powinien być jednym z najpopularniejszych aktorów lat 70. Tak się niestety nie stało. Udział w jednej z największych filmowych porażek wszech czasów, nowej wersji "King Konga", a także uzależnienie Bridgesa od LSD spowodowało, że na kilka lat aktor popadł w zapomnienie. Na duże ekrany powrócił na dobre dopiero w roku 1984. Wystąpił wtedy w filmie Johna Carpentera "Gwiezdny przybysz". Za rolę tę otrzymał nominację do Oscara dla najlepszego aktora. Od tego czasu Jeff Bridges pozostaje jednym z najpopularniejszych aktorów amerykańskich, a zdaniem wielu krytyków również najbardziej utalentowanym.
